Chief Andrew McLean
Director of Emergency Services
Chief Andrew McLean is a founding member of Atlantic Life Safety & Emergency Services since 2009 and was appointed to Director of Emergency Services on Monday, May 12th 2014. On, June 16, 2015, Chief McLean took his oath of office as Agency Chief and Director of Emergency Services.
He holds North Carolina Firefighter I&II, Hazardous Materials Responder I, and Emergency Vehicle Driver certificates through the North Carolina Office of State Fire Marshal's Fire & Rescue Commission as well as holds matching certifications in South Carolina. Chief McLean is credentialed as a Basic Life Support Instructor with the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross. He also holds his Search & Rescue (SARTECH) certifications and is an Instructor and Lead Evaluator with the National Association for Search and Rescue.
He is married to wife, Katie, as well as having two daughters, MyKayla & Gracie, a son, Deven, and a bonus daughter, Karsyn. Throughout his career, Chief McLean has been awarded numerous accolades including the Lifetime Achievement Award through the President's Volunteer Service Award and was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky. Chief McLean is an active member and deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Dunn, North Carolina and is heavily involved in his community.
